Modern Calligraphy for Beginners - 4 Week Course at Rowan Humberstone in Cambridge
Join me for a four week evening course of learning Modern Calligraphy at Rowan Humberstone in Cambridge.
Rowan is an arts centre for adults with learning disabilities & since 1984 they have provided a safe & creative environment where the arts are used to bring people together and tackle social exclusion.
To help raise money for this wonderful centre, they offer their space in the evenings to the local community for a selection of creative workshops taught by local artists.
This modern calligraphy course includes:
- A personalised modern calligraphy kit, including an oblique pen holder, ink, nibs, paper and other stationery items.
- 2.5 hours of modern calligraphy tuition per week, for four weeks.
- You will learn essential calligraphy techniques and then be doing specific activities each week to develop your skills.
- Tips, resources & lots of 1-2-1 help from a professional calligrapher.
- Lots of creative inspiration to use in a variety of ways.
This course is aimed at beginners and anyone who has tried modern calligraphy before, but would like a refresher course.

Full prepayment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable. Refunds will only be issued in the event that we need to cancel the session.
If you can’t make a workshop, but you know someone who can, workshop tickets can be transferred.
